Next time you see a label, try to guess where that item was made and then take a look and see if it was Made In The U.S.A. Chances are it was not. The more you look the more you will be amazed. It's not just electronics, It's Eveything.... It's The Simple Things.... Paper Products, Paper Plates, Paper Towels, Napkins, Plastic Utensils, Cloth, Shirts, Pants, Socks.

How can it be cheaper to make a role of Gift Wrapping Paper in China and Send it to the U.S.A. then to just making it here?

It's about time we "U.S." started manufacturing the items we need and started supporting the companies that do!

1 Sheet 4' x 8' x 1/2" - $25.00

Can't we make a good sheet of plywood in the U.S.A. for less than $ 25.00

OK, The funny thing is that, now that there are so many people out of work here in the US, we can hardly afford to buy other that the cheaper imported stuff. As an out-of work guy myself, I have to look at each and every purchase I make to determine if I really need that item. It seems to be getting worse. I have a friend that owns his own machining company, and I've seen his business suffer year after year because his customers can buy their products over seas cheaper than he can provide here. He is not exactly over priced, he just can't compete. Because his equipment is so out-dated now, his customers find better products elsewhere.

I have been looking for a job since the beginning of 2004, and nothing yet. I have lowered my expected salary to half what I was making and still nothing. The company I worked for out-sourced my department (IT Department) and most of us lost our jobs.

OK, there's my story. I realize that we all need to make our money go as far as it will, just make sure that your money helps others in the states, keep their jobs that is. I am convinced the people in charge of these big companies are not as concerned about the workers at their companies as they are in getting profits 'UP' now. They will worry about tomorrow’s problems tomorrow, or maybe they will let someone else worry about tomorrows problems. Thanks for reading. Good luck to all
